"A great idea ruined by the cheapness of the slats and the space allowed for them to lift out. The slats should be an uncut piece of wood and thinner to allow for water absorption; as it is at the present time it is impossible to get them out of the gaps into which they are now firmly, until later in the year when they have had a chance to dry out, and even then I still don't know if that will happen. Wood used is cheap and nasty and ruins what should have been a clever idea."

"Le bois du bac à compost, ne ressemble pas du tout à celui sur la photo, très humide, gonfler, de ce fait je pense, le bois étant en mauvais état, les pièces s’emboîtaient très mal et ont cassé lors du montage. D'autres pièces étaient cassées avant même le montage. Bref pas de bonne qualité."

"We are struggling to fit it together, for two reasons: the wood is not pre-drilled so for someone with minimal skills in this area it is not a possibility, the wood is damp so we can't get the base pieces into the slots yet. My husband thinks we should send it back but my son (17) thinks we should ask a joiner!! At this stage we are still not sure but it will be very costly if we ask a professional!"

"Disappointed with the composter. Joints so tight boards don't sit fully into each other. When I tried to gently persuade a joint to fit together with a rubber mallet, as suggested, the joint split and a section of the board came away. One board was split from the joint over half way along the board needing two fixings to stabalise it, and the top narrow finishing board was rotten and soft at one end. To round off the experience the two upright side supporting boards were too short to reach the top of the composter leaving me to add two extra pieces of treated batten just to pick up and support the top two boards! Needless to say I won't be ordering another one and won't be able to recomend that anyone else should."
